Apparently inspired by his wife’s “lack of interesting clothing options,” Israeli’s formally trained designer Kedem Sasson founded his “art to wear” line. This was 20 years ago. He had found a large void in the style market for women of more plentiful shapes that were both fun and creative. So he created one.
Since then, Sasson has become a mainstay on the Israeli fashion scene. He also has boutiques around the world including in the US. His work is remarkably popular. As a member of the designer fashion resale club, I can tell you that his pieces sell like hotcakes. My belief on why: the quality is high, the cuts are smart, and the shapes are universally flattering.
