The Khaki Jacket

Closet essentials can be tough to discern what with all the trends and options we have at the drop of hat. But I have a few and a military/khaki jacket is most certainly one of them.

Every body type and each person is different so varying cuts/styles will work on different people. I prefer wearing a classic, simple combat jacket in several shades including beige and olive. And then I might look for several with more “edge,” such as a double breasted, traditional military coat. Then as an additional wardrobe option, I might add a pine hued biker jacket. But then again, you can go with a great many options depending on your personality and comfort level. There is the utalitarian option, the bomber coat, the tailored blazer khaki. There is the drawstring Anorak, the sleeveless military, and so on. It should fit seamlessly into your closet and combine with your other pieces easily and what you might wear on a daily basis. Keep it simple, straightforward. You can really kick around with these things and keep them for a long time!

My essentials are skinny jeans, loose-fitting tees, big jumpers, and the leather jacket. Everything is black or blue – I don’t own anything colorful.”
