The Plummage of Princes

peacock-chair1Peacocks are undoubtedly one of the most handsome creatures in the bird family, if not on the planet.  Their ravishing plummage is used by the males of the species to attract mates. These pheasants’ tail feathers consume an eye-popping 60 percent of the bird’s bodies and contain many markings that resemble  the most gorgeous eyes.  Females are said to select mates based on the quality, size, and shades of their plumes.

They have been used to inspire home decor for decades.  As their beauty is beguiling and remarkable, it goes without saying, that they would inspire decorators and artists alike throughout the centuries.  There is nothing that can match such commanding majesty.
