I am fundamentally a person who believes in only washing one’s hair several times per week in order to let hair rest and to allow natural oils to coat the hair. Therefore, it is only fitting that I am a big supporter and avid user of Aveda’s line of natural, plant derived hair products. At Aveda, The Art and Science of Pure Flower and Plant Essences, botanical ingredients are everything. They define naturally derived ingredients to be those “for which more than 50% of the molecule comes from a plant, non-petroleum mineral, water, or some other natural source. ” This is not only better for your hair, but better for the planet and totally the reason I have always been a fan of their products for such a long time.
The branding is perfect for what the product is (simple and pared back); The products are natural and deliver, and yet are still popular to the mainstream. I think people have really seen how well the products work and if you take care of your hair and scalp, you will reap the benefits. I personally use the Aveda Brilliantine shampoo and conditioner. One use and my hair became silk and my hair has been color treated (actually this particular set is perfect for color treated locks). You can feel your hair getting healthier and more vibrant with each use. I also love the calendula, camellia, and aloe scent. I’ve heard that in order to have healthy hair, you have to treat the scalp with the same treatment as you give to the skin and this stuff delivers. I have also in the past used the Rosemary & Mint Line which is amazing as well (the scent is heavenly).
