Whenever I am in doubt of what to wear or I just want to feel comfortable, I stick to my basics, black, grey, and white in terms of clothing. I like to experiment and get creative, but sometimes sticking to what I know works just feels right.
I wasn’t always such a fan of grey, or rather I liked it on others, but I wasn’t able to appreciate the subtle nature of gunmetal, slate, or charcoal myself. Now, I love it. It works in the sunshine, it works in the rain, in the snow. It works on the beach, on the ski slopes, in the classroom. I really adore it on all skin tones, but particularly on a fair redhead, olive skinned blondes or brunettes, or on Asian tones. It brings attention to beautiful skin, shiny hair, gorgeous features and not so much focus on the clothing itself. The person will stand out and not the clothing. This is great particular on a day when you want to just be real and grounded.
“Human nature is not black and white but black and grey.”
